David Badurina is a multi-passionate absurdist and content creator in the great state of New Hampshire. A GenX child through-and-through, the free-spirited comedy, characters, and original worlds of ’80s sci-fi and fantasy movies are a hallmark of his storytelling. That means flawed heroes, captivating villains, emotional depth, and plenty of laugh-out-loud humor.
Author of urban fantasy, “The Caretaker,” the beloved and best-selling absurdist sci-fi space opera, “SPACE PEW PEW,” non-fiction inspirational work, “Joy-Jitsu,” and the hysterical redneck horror-comedy book, “How To Expose Yourself To Women,” there is no muse David will not chase in search of creative storytelling.
In October of 2024, David started MIRTH QUAKE – a show dedicated to platforming his fellow creatives. Part interview and part game show, this fun and interactive format has 50 episodes and counting. The show has dedicated, enthusiastic fans, and has fostered great connections within the writing community.
David is well-established on X, Substack, and YouTube. He continues to devote time and energy to MIRTH QUAKE. He is knee-deep in his newest endeavor, an off-the-wall solo show, Quill It With Fire!
In 2025, David has accepted guest editor slots for multiple anthologies with Raconteur Press. He is also Co-Creator, Head Writer and Showrunner for a new anime, Tokyo Starchild. He has spent time as an AM Radio DJ, and is the narrator for the audiobook version of Joy-Jitsu.

A tireless creative and supporter of his fellow muse-chasers, David loves doing creative digital design and video editing to enhance his storytelling. In support of his SPACE PEW PEW IP, he has designed a full set of trading cards, posters, and is currently writing lyrics, arranging, and mastering a sing-along album inspired by the characters and settings of The PEWNIVERSE.
He is often called upon by friends in the writing industry to advise on out-of-the-box marketing, establishing an author brand, writing, self-publishing, and building a social presence. David is also an established pro at LibertyCon in Chattanooga as both a panelist and moderator.

Outside of writing, David is a 4th degree black belt and ran his own martial arts dojo for a decade. He has organized events and raised tens of thousands for both Veteran and Foster Child charities. David lives with his wonderful partner Jaclynn, three cats, two geckos, seven pet snakes, and a half-eaten jar of Nutella. When he’s not writing, you can catch him thinking about writing, drinking coffee, or staring at a blank wall during a temporary bout of existential dread.
